Now That's Not Right!

While the last piece was about how the church can screw things up, this one is about some of the good it can do!

Although it is hard to believe, I just heard on the noon-news that Telus Mobility, who is a cell phone provider in the Canadian province of British Columbia, is going to offer porn over their cell phones.

Let me repeat that! They are going to offer porn over the cell phones that subscribe to their service.

I don't know if the whole world is going nuts, but at least the Catholic Church in B.C. has stepped in and called for a boycott of all Telus Mobility products until it is taken off!

I sometimes feel like Alice in Wonderland.

Things just get curiouser and curiouser!

Oh, come on! It's not like they'll be sending out porn to every customer, regardless. Those customers who are interested will be able to access pornographic material over their phones. Those who are not, will never see a single pornographic item. You make it sound like every single Telus subscriber in the world is going to wake up tomorrow morning and find a naked picture of Halle Berry on their phone. Hyperbole! Silly, silly hyperbole.

That was not my point. Right now the biggest commodity on the internet (If memeory serves me) is porn, so why should we have the phones taken over by that as well.
Don't forget, just as an example, I get mail that says things like, "find a fuck-buddy in your area tonight" and all sorts of good stuff like that. (Am I ever glad I don't have small kids anymore!) You can bet your ass that any porn over cell phones will get out of control just the same as it did with the internet.

You need a better spam filter on your email system.
