To hell in a handbasket, I say!
Here is a list of strange stuff I ran across in just the last few days.
1. A teenager suspected of drunk driving plows into an impaired driving checkpoint in Toronto and wipes out 4 or 5 cop cars. Thank God no one was hurt!
2. Officials at Nepal's state-run airline, which has experienced technical difficulties recently, sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Sky God!
(Remind me never to fly Nepal Airlines again!)
3. Venezuelan officials withdraw a proposal to bar parents from giving their children odd names like Edigaith, Mileidy or Superman!
4. Britney Spears, on top of bombing at the MTV awards, getting dinged for DUI and loosing her kids now has been charged with hit and run for an accident last month!
5. The leader of Al Qaeda n Iraq has offered $100,000 dollars in reward money for anyone who kills a Swedish cartoonist who they say insulted Islam. On top of proving that these fundamentalist have absolutely NO sense of humor, they also seem to have a deep dislike of cartoonists!
6. Amsterdam is spending $21 million dollars upgrading it's red-light district.
7. A Swedish Lutheran church pastor informed a couple due to be married that the bride's father is not allowed to walk her down the aisle because it promotes inequality of the sexes.
8. Alberta, Canada celebrates its first "hunting day" in an effort to get more people out of the house and into the woods to kill things!
9. It was "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" and all day long I had to listen to a bunch of assholes going "ARRRRRR Matey!"
10. Ethiopian authorities plan to kill tens of thousands of dogs before next week's Coptic Millennium celebration. By the way, next week Ethiopian restaurants are having a special on "Dog Soup!"
