Listen kid, plants might have "awareness" of their surroundings" but they certainly do not have conciousness.
In other words they don't sit around debating things. They might react on a very basic level to events but don't debate the "meaning of life" or anything close.
By the way, if we are talking about "consiousness" are you aware you posted to the wrong place?????
There's a good example of conciousness and awareness.
You are obviously concious but not very aware!!
