The more things change......!
People in the majority shouted "segregation" and those in the minority shouted "integration" from the rooftops, and great battles were fought for these ideals!
After much bloodshed, sweat and tears, the goal of "integration" was achieved and the village elders thought that people would soon learn to get along.
Some years later a small "minority" of the minority cried "foul" and claimed their people were still being discriminated against and should therefore be educated in their own language and culture and not in the way of the majority.
(That being taught in ghetto-speak and ghetto-culture was counter-productive to integration into the great masses never occurred to these honest but mis-guided fools!)
When this didn't work out as they planned, a new movement arose and the elders of the minority decided that what their people needed was a new idea called segregation, and that all minority students should be taught and brought up seperate from the great masses to preserve their identity and feelings of self-worth.
What they, and many of the great unwashed masses didn't realize is that any group of people are not to be judged on who or what they are, but rather on how well they fit in with everybody else!

But things are much better now than they were fifty years ago. I remember those times. Things are by no means what they should be but they are better than they were. I believe that those who shouted "integration" were proven right and that those who shouted "segregation" were shooting themselves in the foot. We still limp badly because of that.
You are the misguided one.
