Bullwinkle Moose killed in accident!

It is with great sadness we report that Bullwinkle the Moose, long retired and on vacation on the East Coast of Canada was killed in a freak accident on the weekend.

Our Eastern office reports that two people were sent to hospital after a bus collided with Bullwinkle in eastern Newfoundland on Saturday night. A DRL bus was travelling east on the Trans-Canada Highway near Gushue's Pond when it struck the him.

The bus skidded toward the highway median, and landed on its side.

RCMP said the driver of the bus walked away unscathed from the accident, which happened around 8 p.m. Two passengers received minor injuries.

Bullwinkle was killed in the collision! Friends Rocket J. Squirell, Boris, Natasha, Sherman and Peabody will issue a statement later today and funeral arrangements are pending at the old actors home in Los Angeles.

(On a side note, Norwegian officials have stated that since Moose farts are one of the leading causes of global warming the passing of Moose has a bright side and more work needs to be done in this area to thin the herd.)
