The Truth Shall Set You Free, but won't get you elected President.

Hillary Clitoris will probably keep her head low on this one, but Obama Rama Ding Dong has got a problem with The Rev. Jeremiah Wright who is the Pastor at the church he goes to.

The problem does not lie in the fact that Rev. Wright is wrong, or that anything he says is misleading or has an ulterior motive. No, what he says is right on the money, but where we get into difficulties is that a lot of Americans will not only disagree, but will even go so far as to call him a rabble rouser or even (God forbid) a traitor! Especially the Republicans!

A "Perspective" review of dozens of Rev. Wright’s sermons found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda’s attacks because of its own terrorism.

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.

Sen. Obama told the New York Times he was not at the church on the day of Rev. Wright’s 9/11 sermon. “The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification,” Obama said in a recent interview. “It sounds like he was trying to be provocative,” Obama told the paper.

Rev. Wright, who announced his retirement last month, has built a large and loyal following at his church with his mesmerizing sermons, mixing traditional spiritual content and his views on contemporary issues.

As for Obama, the Truth might set you free, but it sure won't do much for your presidential aspirations, AND the Rev. has to remember that as far as his detractors go.............. two wrongs don't make Wright, right! ........Right?

No second place for this guy!

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mt. Everest. Can we name the second? No, we can't!

Roger Banister was the first to run the four minute mile. Can we name the second guy? No we can't

Yuri Gagarin was a Soviet cosmonaut. On 12 April 1961, he became the first person in space and the first to orbit the Earth. He received many medals from different countries for his pioneering tour in space and will now go down in the history books.

Now, for one million dollars, who was the second? We don't know, do we?

I was the first person to have sex with Rhonda B. Who was the second? Don't have a clue!

So kids, it's no wonder that Barak Obama Rama declined the offer from Hillary Clitoris to be her V.P. running mate in the upcoming election.

First of all, it's rather presumptuous for Hillary to assume that she is going to win the nomination when most indicators say otherwise, and secondly, when you're in a race for something like the President of the United States to settle for second place is just not in the cards. Wake up Hillary, unless of course you just said that to piss Obama off!

If Obama had given up that easily then he shouldn't have been in the race to begin with, so good for him. Go get 'em Bananna Rama. (Obama..... fe, fi, fo fama, bananna rama bo bama etc. etc.)

Who to vote for?

You Americans seem to have a problem on your hands!

We here at Perspective's research department had done a lot of study and polling about the next potential President of the United States.

First of all, if Barak Obama Bananna Rama gets in you will no longer be able to call the White House the "White House" and God only knows what else it could be called. (I would bet that the Founding Fathers didn't see this one coming!)

Then, if Hillary Clitoris gets in, what do we do with Bill?

So far we have had "First Ladies" but I don't know if you would be comfortable calling her husband the "The First Man!"

Maybe he could just be called "Former President Clinton," or if he goes back to his womanizing ways, then we could just refer to him as; "Billy-Boy," and confine him to the residence. (Where there are no interns!) Either way, we see trouble ahead. (I can just see the headlines in Japan......... that Clinton is back in the White House because of an "erection!")

Perspective has come to the conclusion that you might have to elect John McCain to the White House just for the sake of keeping things uncomplicated.

Asshole(s) of the Week.

Another two-for-one sale on today. I take you back a few articles (NAFTA Rhetoric vs. Reality) to this comment; "Banana Rama and Hillary Clitoris are both on a wild rampage in the northern States about how they are going to rip up the North American Free Trade Deal."

Both recipients seem to be infected with that common American affliction of believing they can rip-up or ignore any treaty or deal if it doesn't suit them at that particular time.

Never mind obligations or commitments, the prevalent attitude in the United States still seems to be "Might Makes Right!"

It doesn't matter whether it's a missile treaty, a Star Wars agreement, a softwood lumber deal or NAFTA, both Democratic hopefuls suffer from the American belief that they can do whatever they want.

Fortunately John McCain is a little smarter and honorable with his statement that re-negotiating NAFTA would not be prudent.

I just might switch my support to him........ not that it matters since I'm Canadian.

NAFTA Rhetoric vs Reality

We have all heard that old joke; "How do you tell if a politician is lying?" To which, of course, the answer is; "If his/her lips are moving!"

Banana Rama and Hillary Clitoris are both on a wild rampage in the northern States about how they are going to rip up the North American Free Trade Deal.

(Never mind that it was her husband who helped implement it to begin with!)

The bottom line in the whole thing is that both politicians are making hay by claiming that NAFTA has cost jobs in the US and they are absolutely right.

What they fail to tell anyone is that for each job lost, about two were gained in other sectors of the economy! But, that wouldn't make good politics now, would it?

Both Banana and Clitoris want to rip up the deal and re-negotiate it so that it's all in the U.S.'s favor, but as we all know, in the real world things don't work that way. Just in politics.

Canada still has to be careful, because as we all know from the U.S. - Canada softwood lumber deal, the States has no compunctions about ignoring a treaty if they have enough pressure from lobby groups, but all in all, NAFTA seems fairly safe for the following reasons.

Free Trade has been hugely beneficial to U.S. works too. For 36 of 50 U.S. States Canada is the leading export market.

This includes Michigan, Ohio and New York! The only big one's that do more business elsewhere are California and Texas. And don't get me started on how there seems to be more Canadians than Americans in Florida.

In 2006, the last year for which data is available, Ohio alone exported $18 Billion worth of goods to Canada and bought $4.2 billion worth of Canadian crude oil.

As a matter of fact, Canada provides about 18 percent of the United States foreign oil supply while Saudi Arabia only supplies about 15%.

We also supply just about ALL of America's natural gas supplies without which the lights would already be out in California!!!

Just between energy and auto's alone, trade between the two nations is so vital that no one would dare jeopardise it to any great degree. Even the idiot who suggested putting up a fence between Canada and the U.S. like down Mexico way.

The only thing we have to worry about in Canada is that someone doesn't get the bright idea of just annexing Canada and then all the oil and water is free!

Of course this would only happen with a Democratic administration because Canada is mostly "small l" Liberal and the Republicans sure as hell wouldn't want another 33 million Democrats to contend with.

Saturday Morning Confusion. #5

Winners and losers, assholes and idiots. Looking back on the past week is enough to make your head spin. Are we confused?...... You bet we are!

Might as well jump in with both feet kids, here are the damned and the darned.

We start off with our loser of the week. A man is recovering in a Vancouver-area hospital after an attempt to film a mock hanging as a stunt, accidentally became the real thing, police said on Thursday.

The 23-year-old man thought he had protected himself by wearing a harness when he went to a suburban park on Wednesday to have a friend record him dangling lifelessly from a tree, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.

"Unfortunately things did not go as planned and the male was unintentionally hung from the rope he had placed around his neck," according to a police spokesman who said the friend initially did not realize anything was wrong.

Neither man was trained as a stunt actor, according to the police statement that added: "The 'Don't Try This at Home!' disclaimers on commercials and movies are there for a reason."
Now for a trophy that comes as no surprise. Our "Asshole of the Week" award once again goes to George W Bush.

Georgie is running out of time in the White House and in a last ditch effort to give himself some sort of legacy he is once again starting the "Middle-East Peace Process!"

The first reason he gets this award is raised by the question, why did he wait till he was eight years into his Presidency to do this, and the second question is; Why is he so stupid as to think that it will work this time?

Clinton had a faint chance at a settlement a decade ago but conditions today are such that any attempt to reconcile these two sides is 100% sure to meet with disaster.

Bush gets the trophy because this whole thing is for no other reason than his public image! He knows this, but is going ahead anyway.

He might be stupid, but he sure has balls. (That phrase would make a great legacy for him!)

And finally, I just have to comment on a rumour that has been going around since 2005.

President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.
The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:

What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:

In March 2005, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States adopted a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), establishing ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting progress back to their governments.

President Bush described the significance of the SPP as putting forward a common commitment "to markets and democracy, freedom and trade, and mutual prosperity and security." The policy framework articulated by the three leaders is a significant commitment that will benefit from broad discussion and advice.

The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized.

To that end, the Task Force proposes the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity.

We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that "our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complementary."

Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly and safe. Its goal will be to guarantee a free, secure, just, and prosperous North America.

The North American Union plan, which Vincente Fox has every reason to presume President Bush is still following, calls for the only border to be around the North American Union -- not between any of these countries.

Or, as the CFR report stated: The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America.
A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America.

To all this I would like to add a few personal observations!

First of all, the plan does have a certain appeal and make perfect sense in the long run. Although the rumors going around now are just a bunch of baloney, in the long term we can see this happening.

In Canada, for example, the U.S. is not going to look at our water and the oil reserves in the Alberta Tar Sands, and come to us "hat in hand" for a crust of bread.

No sir folks, the more probable outcome is a union with the States to save us the humiliation of having the Americans just come in here and take what they want.

A harsh reality? Yes! But hardly an outcome that is beyond possibility.

I would rather say it is entirely probable.

Can Mexico then be far behind? Remember kids, the whole world is splitting into giant power groups and we can look forward to "Super States" much the same as in George Orwell's book "1984."

Except the timing will be more like 2084.

I can see a time when we have;

1. North America (Including Australia and New Zealand)
2. South America
3. Europe (Including Russia)
4. Africa
5. Asia
6. Oceania

In the meantime remember that old saying; "That George Bush, you got to hand it to the guy, he might have been stupid, but BOY, did he have balls!"

Jimmy Carter tells it like it is!

Thought you might find this story from AP interesting, I know I did!

Bush's global impact 'worst in history': Carter.

Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter has called President George W. Bush's administration "the worst in history" in international relations, criticizing the White House's policy of pre-emptive war and its Middle East diplomacy.

The criticism from Carter, which a biographer says is unprecedented for the 39th president, also took aim at Bush's environmental policies and the administration's "quite disturbing" faith-based initiative funding.

"I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history," Carter told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in a story that appeared in the newspaper's Saturday editions.

"The overt reversal of America's basic values as expressed by previous administrations, including those of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and others, has been the most disturbing to me."

Carter spokeswoman Deanna Congileo confirmed his comments to the Associated Press on Saturday and declined to elaborate. Carter spoke while promoting his new audiobook series, Sunday Mornings in Plains, a collection of weekly Bible lessons from his hometown of Plains, Ga.

"Apparently, Sunday mornings in Plains for former President Carter includes hurling reckless accusations at your fellow man," said Amber Wilkerson, Republican National Committee spokeswoman. She said it was hard to take Carter seriously because he also "challenged Ronald Reagan's strategy for the Cold War."

"We now have endorsed the concept of pre-emptive war where we go to war with another nation militarily, even though our own security is not directly threatened, if we want to change the regime there or if we fear that some time in the future our security might be endangered," he said. "But that's been a radical departure from all previous administration policies."

Carter, who won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, criticized Bush for having "zero peace talks" in Israel. Carter also said the administration "abandoned or directly refuted" every negotiated nuclear arms agreement, as well as environmental efforts by other presidents.

Douglas Brinkley, a Tulane University presidential historian and Carter biographer, described Carter's comments as unprecedented.

"This is the most forceful denunciation President Carter has ever made about an American president," Brinkley said. "When you call somebody the worst president, that's volatile. Those are fighting words."

Carter also lashed out Saturday at British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Asked how he would judge Blair's support of Bush, the former president said: "Abominable. Loyal. Blind. Apparently subservient."

"And I think the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world," Carter told BBC radio.

Jeez Jimmy, don't be so easy on them, why don't you tell it like it really is!!!!
