Let's get these Monkeys into perspective here!

This need NO introduction, No explanation, No justification.
This is how we are on our own.
Just watch!

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is much more to it than that. We are monkeys who have something no other creature has. Humans are also a manifesation of God and display this time and again by who we are and what we do!

Monkey See, Monkey Do.

Life like a tree full of monkeys.
All on different limbs at different levels.
Some monkeys are climbing up, some down.
The monkeys on top look down,
and see a tree full of smiling faces.
The monkeys on the bottom look up,
and see nothing but assholes.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnett, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently and die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects.

Maintain airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway!

And Finally, on a personal note!
I believe in God;
I just don't trust anyone who works for him!

Thank God for Middle-Age

My wife spent three years in Saudi Arabia in the 1980's and from her observations I can surmise that the average Muslim in the Middle East is poor, uneducated, family oriented and extremely religious. We are not talking about the middle-class or the elite here but just the average Joe, - or Ali.

The guy on the street in the Middle East (remeber women in Saudi and many other places are not allowed to go anywhere on their own!) has a distorted view of the world because of assholes like this; He explains the difference between men and women.

www.youtube.com/watch

The Matawah, (religious police) on the other hand are usually young men in their teens or early twenties who do this more for the sake of being in positions of authority than out of any religious conviction.

They might best be described as thugs and hooligans who revel in terrorizing the average person on the street. When passing them it is wise to avert your eyes and look down so you do not incur their wrath, after all they can throw you in jail for any reason and frequently do so.

(Believe me you don't want to be in a Saudi jail. It's about the same as a Turkish jail and for anyone who has seen the movie "Midnight Express" you know what I mean)

As for the terrorists themselves I came across some fascinating information. According to Marc Sageman, a man with the unusual background of a CIA case officer and then a psychiatrist, he had some interesting observations in his book Understanding Terror Networks.

Sageman argues that we are facing something closer to a cult network than an organized global adversary! Like many cults, Muslim terrorists thrive by channeling and perverting the idealism of young people.

As a forensic psychiatrist, he analyzed data on about 400 Jihadists. He found that they weren't poor desperate sociopaths, but rather restless young men who were frustrated by the lack of opportunities in their own country and found identity by joining the terrorist underground.

In fact, ninety percent came from normal intact two parent families, 65 percent had gone to college, 75 percent were either professionals or semi-professionals, and 75 percent were married.

(They see the riches of the people in the United States that is portrayed in the media - and then hate them because they do not have the same opportunities in their countries!)

What transformed these young Sunni Muslim men was the fellowship of Jihad and the militant role models they found in people like Osama bin Laden. The terror training camps in Afghanistan were considered a kind of elite finishing school.

The 9/11 hijackers weren't psychotic killers. In fact none of them had a criminal record! Sageman went on to say that in terms of their psychological profiles, they were as healthy as the general population.

Now here comes the interesting part. The implications of Sageman's analysis is that the Sunni Jihadism of al-Qaida and its spin-off groups is a generational phenomenon. Unless new grievances spawn new recruits, it will gradually die out as their members mature.

Thank God for Middle-Age!

Something in the air!

Well, they're at it again! Members of the "House of Yahweh" are in the news and under scrutiny once again.

Kenyan followers of a U.S.-based religious sect which predicted the world would end after a September 12 outbreak of nuclear war moved into bunkers on Wednesday despite the failure of their prediction.

According to spokesman Mosheh Sang, a nuclear war between the United States and North Korea only failed to kick off Tuesday as expected due to difference in international time zones.

These people won't let a little thing like the failure of nuclear war deter them from their beliefs. They have stocked the bunkers with dried fermented flour meant to feed them for a year, by which time sinners would have been wiped off the Earth.

"Those who have been doubting us will in hours be ashamed and if the effect of the war is not felt here, then let the police arrest us," Mosheh Sang, leader of the sect in Kenya, told journalists while packing sacks of flour into a bunker.

"We shall stay in the bunkers for a period of one year."

"Members of our sect who are in the U.S. will not be affected as they are protected by Yahweh," Sang added.

Kenyan authorities have been closely watching sect members to avoid a repeat of the aftermath of an unfulfilled prophecy in Uganda when more than 900 members of the "Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments" were burned alive in 2000.

Police said they were now worried that the bunkers being used by the "House of Yahweh" could cave in despite followers of the cult erecting supporting wooden pillars in the six-by-ten foot bunkers. Underground water was seeping into the hideouts which police said would weaken the structures.

The cult's followers said it was Yahweh's (Hebrew for God) way of providing water for them. Said Sang; "September 12...You need to put this date on your bathroom mirror. You also need to make preparations for the dark days ahead, which will affect every person on earth." "There is a place of safety but like their unbelief in the Sabbath, the world will not believe this message, neither will they repent of their sins of murder, fornication, or theft. You need to start training now in the ways of Yahweh."

According to its web site www.yahweh.com, the group was founded in Abilene, Texas.

That means the "Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Comandments," The "House of Yahweh," The "Branch Davidians," (remember Waco Texas) some of the "Manson Clan" and God knows (no pun intended) who else all come from Texas.

Is there something in the air down there?

(On a side note; If these assholes can run around really believing what they preach then how easy is it for a normal, run of the mill person to get brainwashed by mainstream Religious doctorine and dogma!)

Say What!

Talk about a schizophrenic situation.

I keep thinking that the situation(s), in the Middle East is nuts but this one could take the cake.

In Syria there was a group this week that bombed the United States Embassy. - O.K. what else is new?

They didn't do any damage but did manage to injure a bunch of people who were waiting outside the Embassy for it to open so they could apply for "Visas" to move to the States.

So, same time and same place, you have groups who want to blow up everything American and others who want to look for a better life in America. Make up your mind people!!!

And we sit here wondering why things are so screwed up in the Middle East!!!!

Heaven help us!

Is there any one world religion that can truthfully document its origins ?

The early Christian gospels are not historical biographies of Jesus. They were written in a way that appeals to historical truth, but are not history in any actual sense. The Gospels were written between 40 to 200 years after the fact, and then drastically altered during the “Council of Nicea.”

In Islam, there is no actual copy of the Koran. The earliest written record of the Koran was mentioned in a biography of Mohammed by Ibn Ishaq who wrote about 100 years after the death of the Prophet. We don't have an actual copy of that either, just a later reference to it!

Hinduism does not have any one founder, or any single doctrine.

Buddhism is a religion that would be much closer in spirit to the views of an agnostic or atheist.

Where did the book of Mormon come from? Joseph Smith said he translated it from old manuscripts, but all we have are HIS papers.

The only “Religion” documented is “Scientology.” We have all the original bullshit and still some people can’t believe it’s a vast con game!

Heaven (?) help us!

The 14% Majority

NBC had a poll this morning on this question. "Do you want to keep the words God on our money and In God we trust on the Pledge of Allegiance!"

The response was overwhelming - 86% to keep the words, In God We Trust in the Pledge of Allegiance and God on the money! 14% against.

Still the debate rages.

I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a furor about having "In God We Trust" on the U.S. money and having "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance when it is wanted by the overwhelming majority.

Why is everyone catering to this 14%? They are like everything else in this world. It doesn't matter what the issue is - just scream loud enough and the majority will have to give in to your demands. After all, that's easier than having a bit of backbone!

Can I get an AMEN!

INTERMISSION

Just like at the drive-in, we have intermission entertainment!

Oh, my aching head!

I have been visiting a Yahoo site ( http://answers.yahoo.com/ ) that was started on the premise that answers to complicated or deep questions can best be answered when they are thrown open to the general public.

This has worked marvelously well in scientific circles but unfortunately the Yahoo site has been hijacked by teenagers and people in their early twenties. (Probably because older people are more mature and have better things to do with their time!)

If the quality of answers on this site are any indication of our future with the up and coming generation then God help us.

Some of the scientific and technical sites are not too bad but anything in the general knowledge, social, entertainment, relationships, health, politics, parenting and especialy reiligion categories are all answered by a legion of retards.

One refreshing exception I have found was this answer by a guy named Juan to the question; "If Christians are supposed to be so good why do they keep telling you that you're going to HELL if you don't belive what they do."

"The thing most religions fear is that their followers become open minded and try to look at both sides of issues and then make intelligent decisions based on facts. This would be the death of most religions. It is necessary that their followers have tunnel vision and follow the program blindly."

"The whole reward system of heaven and the punishment of hell were made up to keep people in line. The ones that preach and try to impose their beliefs on others (Priests, Rabbis and Imams) are really the pillars holding up these religions."

I will add a few thoughts of my own from the book "The Plain Truth About God-101" (what the church doesn't want you to know!)

**God inspired the bible, he didn't write it. People base their lives around the manic scribbling of a bunch of desert baked primitives who ate bugs and honey! Of course they saw God! -Anonymous

**The bible states clearly that nobody can earn his salvation through morality and good deeds (Gnosticism) since we are all sinful by nature. We have the perfect catch 22 situation were only in the blind acceptance of Christ atoning for our deeds can we be saved. In other words, we are in a no-win situation against the so-called logic of the shaman. If we do not take his word for it then all is lost! –A.W.J.

**Many theologians think of Christianity as two different religions-one conservative and one liberal. They share the bible and the name, but not much more. Much the same can be said for the followers of Islam! A.W.J.

**If faith were the result of reasoning we could expect that most intelligent people would by now be converted to one ideology or the other! –A.W.J.

** "I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure - that is all that agnosticism means.” -Clarence Darrow, Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925.

** If you need further proof that human religion is the devils work read on: “The truth is that Christian theology, like every other theology, is not only opposed to the scientific spirit; it is also opposed to all other attempts at rational thinking.”
“Not by accident does Genesis 3 make the father of knowledge a serpent -- slimy, sneaking and abominable.” “Since the earliest days, the church as an organization has thrown itself violently against every effort to liberate the body and mind of man.”
“It has been, at all times and everywhere, the habitual and incorrigible defender of bad governments-bad laws-bad social theories and bad institutions.”
"It was, for centuries, an apologist for slavery as it was the apologist for the Divine right of kings.” --H. L. Mencken

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST;

**I was all screwed up on drugs until I found Jesus-
NOW I'M ALL SCREWED UP ON HIM! -Cheech and Chong
